American Classic’s Car Wash Finds Success with the Petit Accutrac®360-i

American Classic’s Car Wash sits at 124 Cedar Road in Osceola, Indiana, serving drivers throughout the South Bend area. When Trevor Stone bought the wash in December 2015, he knew it would eventually need significant updates. But he didn’t let that stop him.

The Search for the Perfect Car Wash Equipment

When Trevor decided it was time to start upgrading American Classic’s Car Wash, he had a big decision to make. He could either stay with the existing equipment manufacturer or explore a better option.

Trevor thoroughly researched different options, weighing the long-term value of each against his business goals. That research led him to Petit Auto Wash Equipment, and later to Renew Car Care, a family-owned company that has helped car wash owners across Illinois and Indiana since 1995.

The Accutrac® 360-i from Petit was an option, and after seeing it in action, Trevor knew it was the clear choice. Its oscillating nozzles would deliver 200 to 400 percent more cleaning power for a noticeably better wash, while the eight-foot clearance could accommodate larger vehicles with ease.

Trevor was especially impressed by the system’s ability to intelligently map each vehicle’s size and shape, applying chemicals and water only where they’re needed. That level of precision would reduce waste, lower operating costs, and improve efficiency. Capable of washing up to 29 cars per hour, the Accutrac® 360-i would also allow Trevor to increase throughput significantly.

In March 2024, Renew Car Care installed the Accutrac® 360-i at Trevor’s site, and his customers loved the upgrade right away.

A Devastating Setback

Trevor’s monthly membership program was just getting underway when disaster struck. Thieves stole his entire Dencar pay station, the heart of his automatic wash’s payment system.

Without a working pay station, customers couldn’t pay to use the automatic wash, whether they wanted to swipe a credit card or use their membership. The theft effectively shut down a core part of his business overnight. Trevor needed a solution fast. With assistance from Renew Car Care, Dencar provided Trevor with a loaner, and Trevor’s success continued while a permanent replacement was arranged. That quick thinking kept his automatic wash running and protected the customer relationships he had worked so hard to build.

To continue that momentum, Trevor invested in a second Petit Auto Wash Accutrac® 360-i system, installed by Renew Car Care in June 2025.

Stronger Than Ever

Since the robbery, American Classic’s Car Wash has grown steadily, and Trevor has used that success to support and invest in his local community.

His commitment hasn’t gone unnoticed. Trevor has been a Finalist and Runner-Up in the South Bend Tribune’s Community Choice Awards every year from 2019 through 2025. He also earned the Platinum (overall) winner title in the South Bend Community Votes Awards in both 2024 and 2025, a remarkable back-to-back honor that reflects his standing among local drivers.
